Bible Prophecies: The First Seal of Revelation
The similarities between the prophecies of Nostradamus and the book of Revelation are striking. Written by John, the last book of the bible talks about Jesus, the lamb, breaking seven seals – and by doing so begins a period of renewal and rebirth on Earth. But before mankind can appreciate this new life, we must suffer long periods of plague and destruction. And according to some scholars the first seals have already been broken – though to be fair, nobody really knows when they were broken.
It should be noted at this stage that scholars throughout history claim to have a theory about when the first seal of Revelation was broken. Some historians recorded as far back as the Roman Empire that Julius Cesar was the antichrist and the reign of the Roman Empire would be the end of the world as predicted in Revelation. The Roman Empire may not have been the end of the world per se, but it did bring about many changes to the world which was different from that which had gone before it.
One thing scholars do agree on is that the first four seals represent the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse – famed for their association with the coming of the end. But perhaps we shouldn´t be too disheartened by all the talk of disaster as the word “apocalypse,” stems from the Greek word meaning the lifting of the veil – or in other words to experience a revelation.
The First seal reads:
“Now I watched when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say with a voice like thunder, “Come!” And I looked, and behold, a white horse! And its rider had a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he came out conquering, and to conquer.” Revelation 6:1-2
Some scholars consider the first horseman is the antichrist, who has been crowned to conquer and thus will reap destruction on the planet. Yet the bible is highly metaphorical and the veiled meaning might perhaps be something far less sinister than the end of days.
In accordance with the Mayan calendar, we are approaching a new dawn of enlightenment and are about to pass from Pisces into Aquarius – the water bearer who pours knowledge onto the world in order to quench humanity´s thirst for truth. To put a positive spin on the translation of Revelation then, you are your own God and your own devil and will face the new age of enlightenment how you see fit. Old forms of spiritual belief are about to collapse and only those capable of adapting to the changes will survive.
But Revelation goes on to describe wars and rumours of wars and indicates the problems we are about to encounter are on a global level rather than a personal one.
“And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake.” Revelation 6:9
In the verse above, John distinctly describes “nations will rise against nations,” and the world will suffer “famines, pestilence and earthquakes.” Nostradamus also talks about natural disasters in a number of his quatrains, though most fittingly with Revelation in:
Century 6, Quatrain 5
Very great famine (caused) by a plague-ridden wave,
Will extend through long rain the length of the Arctic pole:
“Samarobryn” one hundred leagues from the hemisphere,
They will live without law, exempt from politics.
Both Nostradamus and the bible accredit famines and plagues to the outbreak of war, during which time people will live without law and politics. And we should all know by now that religions are often used to drive people to war. And this time round it will be Muslims against Christians.
The rider of the White horse cast in the guise of the antichrist also features in the French seers quatrains as the false prophet who will lead the planet to the brink of destruction.
Century 8, Quatrain 77
The Antichrist very soon annihilates the three,
Twenty-seven years the blood of his war will last.
The unbelievers are dead, captive, exiled;
With blood, human bodies, water and red hail covering the earth.
Here Nostradamus is describing a long and bloody war – which is not unusual in time of great change and upheaval. The new age of enlightenment, you would imagine, will be the catalyst for such horrific events. But they will be engineered by the so-called rulers of the planet in order for them to secure the monopoly on the new-age spiritual beliefs, and it will start with wars in Europe and the Middle-East.
The good news is the wars can be prevented. The sad news is there are too many ignorant people on the planet to divert it. Using the religious beliefs of a second coming and the prophecies foretold by Nostradamus, the bible and countless other sources, world leaders will engineer a Third World War – a war that will be lead by the third antichrist.
Yet Revelation is not calling for war, but is trying to warn humanity to wake up to the subjugation we are subjected to and to find our own path towards enlightenment. Nostradamus predicted the antichrist would be a false prophet and in the bible Jesus also says:
“Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” Matthew 24.4-5
So are Revelation and Nostradamus sources of prophetical and philosophical information that we must look towards to wake up to the possibilities of achieving greater levels of spiritual – and personal – experiences. Or should we sit back and let the so-called rulers of the planet have their own way – because whilst ever they are in power, mankind has no power.
